Hi I'm TomCat. I bought my first guitar some 25 years ago, a Les Paul clone from Custom, and it followed every fashion trend. What sticks out to me most is somewhere probably in the eighties when I spray painted it some awesome shade of
PINK!
I soon found out lacking the ability to play was compensated by my flashy guitars. And I never hesitate to add that being left handed and playing right handed guitars must put me right up there with Jimmy, Eric, Carlos, Steve, Zakk and so on... ;-)
Anyway, as it seems I have more talent for modifying guitars than playing them.
Through the years I developed and refined my own relicing techniques where I find it of greatest importance that a guitar doesn't look like it has been reliced. It should just look like it's had a lot of mileage and invite you to accompany you on some more to come....
